Rush - A Pig In Black Satin

I'm not going to spend a lot of my time on Rush Limbaugh, because his cult-like followers are deaf to reason. I received an e-mail from Fabian, not his real name, which linked me to the following Newsweek article.

http://www.newsweek.com/id/187342

To quickly paraphrase, the article talks about how after 9/11 the Bush administration

"...secretly gave the green light for the U.S. military to attack apartment buildings and office complexes inside the United States, deploy high-tech surveillance against U.S. citizens and potentially suspend First Amendment freedom-of-the-press rights in order to combat the terror threat..."

Fabian was curious as to what Limbaugh-heads would think. Their almighty and righteous Bush administration consider the above actions. Limbaugh chants for Obama's failure fearing Socialism. Would he have been OK under a Bush Dictatorship?

One more Rush. In his Super Bowl analogy he wanted the Cardinals QB to fail so his team could win. Why not support your team to play well on defense and do their job rather then hope the other team fails.

Because the Rush Limbaugh's of the world don't trust anybody, even their own teams. I'll cheer for both teams to play well.

This just in: "Limbaugh Rooting for Planet to Explode".

Mr. Limbaugh elaborating on his planet explosion theory, explained that if the world blows up in the next four years "it will happen on Barack Obama's watch."

I'd like to see Oprah take on Rush. She'd bitch slap him silly.

I would like to see Obama and Rush debate. The key would be to let it be a real debate and not those idiotic infomercial formats that pose for debates these days.

I would put my money on Limbaugh.

A Rush vs Oprah pie eating contest would be interesting.

I would put my money on Oprah.

CFandl,

BIG surprise. Turn the light on, there's more to the world than what Rush tells you.

Hello.....Poindexter....I never said that I agree 100% with Limbaugh. I just believe that he could kick The Messiah err, I mean Obama's butt in a debate.

Many thought McCain could out debate Obama too. How did that work out?

Mark Ploch said...

Rush Limbaugh couldn't out debate a can of tuna.

I never thought McCain would out debate Obama. That was a match made in heaven for the Dems.

Limbaugh is much quicker on his feet and doesn't care what his opponents think of him. I think he would have Obama on the ropes fairly quickly.

Since Obama is treating his presidency like it is a campaign this would be the perfect fit for him.

Mark,

Limbaugh would destroy you, me and anyone else who ventures in this blog.

Rush is a blow hard we could all hold our own with him

All I know is that since Obama became President the Dow has dropped 3022 pts.

You know what Broken, the same would've happened with McCain in office. People need to honestly accept and understand this isn't going to be fixed overnight.

In my opinion Wall Street needs to calm down. They're fueling a lot of panic.

McCain didn't win so we will never know. I do believe that Wall Street has no confidence in Obama & Co.

Mark is right, if Rush had his way we wouldn't get anything for free from the government! My president Obama is going to get me a home, free school and health insurance for free! What did Bush give me? Nothing! He just wanted to spy on me and blow up apartments! It is wrong to spy and torture to keep us safe. President Obama would not spy on us to keep us safe. We should all die so our President doesn't have to torture others. Maybe he should torture Rush until he stops telling people what he thinks.

Anony, you're so childish.

Also, Wall Street has too much power in this whole equation. Obama's plan is not Wall Street friendly so they are driving the stocks down.

Give it time. I would like to see a limit as to how much money companies can receive. If 100's of billions can't turn a company around nothing will. Will it hurt? Yes, but if the body is dead pumping in more blood isn't going to help.

Obama is a FRIGGIN SOCIALIST!

WAKE UP!!!!!

If socialist means we help people who need it instead of working so hard to ensure the rich stay rich, count me in.

What a travesty, to think middle class people who have lost their jobs might be able to hang on to their homes a while longer, meanwhile some fat greedy bastard might lose his third vacation home, or worse have to cut back to 5 vacations a year. I can the totally see how unfair that is. Those poor rich people, how will they ever survive?

Tara said...

Don't get me wrong... I think if you make 23,000 a year and you bought a 250,000 house- you deserve to be homeless. I don't buy into it's all the banks fault (although they sure are not innocent) if you are too stupid to do a bit of research and know what you are signing... then maybe you are too stupid to buy a house in the first place.

Tara,

Have you ever thought that there are many rich people out there who WORKED HARD for their money?

Why so we penalize someone who is willing to take risks and work their butt off to improve themself financially?

Maybe instead of the government taking money have all of the bleeding hearts donate their own voluntarily?

Anonymous said...

CFandl, of course.

who would deny someone their hard earned pay?

have you ever considered that a strong safety net supports the type of risk you mentioned?

CFandl,

Why keep squeezing the little fruit, they have no more juice to give. All the big fruits took it from us in bank fees, higher insurance rates, higher sales taxes, and so on.

The big fruits can afford to help out. They've historically been given the breaks before to stay juicy.

Nobody said the wealthy don't deserve their wealth.

Tara said...

My understanding is that the majority losing their wealth is losing money they had INVESTED. I could be wrong, certainly not an expert but isn't investing is things like the stock market taking a RISK? So if you bank all your money in stocks and they take a dive... we should give you money because you took a risk and lost? BS

The only people profiting are those that caused this mess in the first place. Seems to me they should have put it somewhere SAFE if they didn't want to lose it. But hey, what the hell do I know?

Mark Ploch said...

Bottom line. People who have money, rich or poor want to keep as much as they can.

Proportionately, poor people pay more than rich people. The wealthy who complain are just greedy.

Nobody likes taxes, that's a fact. But, taxes are a necessity. They have to come from somewhere. We all pay, so CFandl, deal with it.

Taxes are going to help many, some got in trouble on their own, some had help. Those who will get mortgage help will be better helped than becoming homeless.

I have no problem with a safety net. There are some people in society who should be taken care of. What I don't like is a regressive tax system that is designed to reward those who don't work as hard.

I also have no problem paying taxes. That is as long as the tax system is fair (which it is not). Boy Genius in the White House wants to give tax rebates back to people WHO DO NOT PAY TAXES!

How to start each day with a positive outlook:

1. Open a new file in your computer.

4. Empty the Recycle Bin.
5. Your PC will ask you: 'Do you really want to get rid of 'Barack Obama?'
6. Firmly Click 'Yes.'
7. Feel better?
