Wright or Wrong Can We Please Move On?

Everybody has a skeleton in their closet, right?
Well, that's what the mainstream media wants everybody to believe. The Democratic race was going along so well. The media was so in love with Obama. They knew Clinton's skeleton, Bill. Nothing new there unless Monica has been around.

The media was making Obama too perfect. They needed to find some dirt on him because this was becoming too easy. And as we all know the media loves to build people up, just so they can knock them down. Kind of like when kids throw a ball up in the air so they can hit it with a bat. Obama was the new ball. But, when it was time to hit the ball the media was missing. And that makes them mad.

The media has a formula for tearing people down, but Obama was breaking their rules. They couldn't use race for two reasons. One, the media fears being called racist and secondly Obama isn't an angry black man. The media couldn't use drugs on Obama because he had already written about his past in a book. He's happily married and no interns have been working late so the sex angle wouldn't work.

So the media's next avenue is to find distractions on the fringe. Bingo! Well, more like Bing. The media discovered Obama's former pastor was an angry black man. Keep in mind Rev. Wright has NO official ties to Obama, yet the media is trying to get him to stick to Obama like a piece of duct tape.

Forget the fact that Obama has made it VERY CLEAR that Rev. Wright's views and beliefs are not shared by him in any way, the media can't let go.

The media reminds me of my son when he keeps repeating a question,

"Can I watch Pirates of the Caribbean?", "'No."
"Can I watch Pirates of the Caribbean?", "'No."
"Can I watch Pirates of the Caribbean?", "'No."
"Can I watch Pirates of the Caribbean?", "'No."
"Can I watch Pirates of the Caribbean?", "'No."

But instead it's,

"Do you agree with Rev. Wright?", "No."
"Do you agree with Rev. Wright?", "No."
"Do you agree with Rev. Wright?", "No."
"Do you agree with Rev. Wright?", "No."
"Do you agree with Rev. Wright?", "No."

Can we just move on to the important stuff again? Please. Like,

your right about the media setting them up to knock them down. what about John McCain and John Hagee? there is relationship that needs some more media coverage. if anyone reading this is not familiar with John Hagee do a little homework on him and then reflect back on the obama/wright media coverage.

Bill, I'm not familiar with Hagee. I hate homework, who is he?

it is difficult to sum him up in a few words, he is a TV evangelist and doomsday prophet. most importantly, i think, in the context of this discussion and the election, is that he is a self proclaimed "man of war" who wants us to attack Iran pre-emptively in order to bible prophecy.

correction from my previous comment. the last sentence should read: "in order to fulfill bible prophecy".

Ok, a white Rev. Wright type person. In other words, McCain's running mate. LOL

i think that Hagee is more extreme and therefore deserves more media attention than Wright does.

Bill,

I did my homework.

Hagee is just a stupid successful TV evangelist. No better then Jim Baker or Swaggert. His skeletons just haven't come out yet.

Scott,

Here's my notes;

Obama was getting a free pass from the media and now he isn't. If anyone doesn't think the Clintons were not behind some of this they are fools.

Obama made the choice to associate himself with a bigot like Wright and it has come back to bite him in the rump. I don't blame him for Wright being an idiot, but Obama could have distanced himself from the guy long ago.

Personallly, the fact that Obama is buddies with an unrepentant terrorist like William Ayers bothers me much more.

As far as the media's treatment of McCain goes, wait until the fall. I am sure they will do their best to find dirt on him.

as long as the media reports the truth about both candidates no one should have anything to complain about.
