Ground Zero of Misinformation And Fear

I invite you to watch the following video that presents a tremendous amount of rational facts about the Ground Zero Mosque.

I like Keith and saw this the night he had this. The fear mongers will spin it.

He really labeled the facts so they'd be hard to spin, but you're right.

I didn't even realize how far away it was.

Scott Plocharczyk said...

That's the thing. It's five blocks away and can't even be seen from ground zero.

Five blocks in NYC is not very far given the destruction that was done. Remember...just because you can legally do something, doesn't always mean you should.

Then 6 blocks is too close then a mile then NYC is off limits.

If there is ALREADY a Muslim prayer center closer than the new Community Center what's the big deal if not pure uninformed fear?

Mark & Scott are idiots.

Hey, I'm an idiot!

At least people KNOW who I am. If you're gonna call somebody out like that, be a man or woman, and state your name.

Chicken shit!

It's not really about measuring the distance in blocks per se. It's about doing the right thing. There are certainly other ways of going about building a center designed to bring the Muslim and non-Muslim people to a better place, understanding, or whatever the purpose of the center. It would seem to me that this simply makes an already difficult situation worse when the wound from 9/11 has obviously not healed given the fact that a majority of Americans (both in and out of NYC) are not in favor of this; regardless of any politician's views/opinions. It certainly isn't sending a message of peace and love but rather a message like: "I don't care what happened here and how significant it is to NYC. I'm going to build this Muslim center whether you like it or not AND we're going to show YOU how to be tolerant." If the shoe were on the other foot there would be hell to pay. I certainly am against building it anywhere near ground zero. Maybe they could rent space in an office building if that location is that important. Just do not build a symbol of the faith that terrorists use to justify their actions anywhere near the location of one of the worst terrorist attacks in history.

Anonymous - Really?! Seriously?! That's like smearing poop on a wall. You just shouldn't do it.

Pig,
I respectfully disagree with you. And I respect your way of stating your opinion. And thanks for calling out Anony.

I say let them build it. Just put a huge video screen next to it showing those planes flying into the towers and those poor people jumping to their deaths.

Let the video play 24-7.
