It took them 132 years to erect a statue of one of there players, Ernie Banks. Talk about erectile dysfunction.
Harry Caray had a statue in 1999.
Banks hit 512 home runs for the Cubs over 19 seasons of a Hall of Fame career.
Caray was a announcer for 16 seasons with the Cubs. He never won a game for the team.

Statues aren't everything. The Cubs have flags waving on foul poles of some of their great players.
Harry Caray did win games for the Cubs. Maybe not as a player, but as a voice just like fans can help win games for teams. Have you heard of home field advantage?
Where is the statue of Harry at Sox Park? Where's Aparacio, Melton,Thomas?
Players can't hear the announcers calling the game to gain an advantage. Also, why would it be a home field advantage? The announcer goes on the road too.
When they're done, I'm sure the Sox will have statues of Thomas, Aparacio, Ozzie, Hawk, and Wilbur Wood.
Players do hear the announcers. Ask Chip Caray and Steve Stone
Those weren't players, they were wussies.
The Cubs will milk this 100 years crap for all it is worth. What is funny is how they are too dense to understand that focusing on 100 years of futility is idiotic.
And the Cub fans will just bend over and say, "Give me a hundred more".
